Mother's Day events and deals in Wichita - 2013


Mother's Day is this Sunday, May 12th.  If you haven't picked what you'll be doing for your Mom (or maybe what you want to do for yourself), there are some things going on around Wichita to make Mom's day special.

Mother's Day Brunch and Public lecture:  "From Mother to Daughter Quilting, at the Wichita Art Museum.  (Sunday) 11am-1pm. Brunch at The Muse and then over to Wooden Lecture Hall for a lecture on quilting and mothers and daughters in the 19th and early 20th century.


Friends of WAM Annual Art and Book Fair. 
May 11th, and 12th.  Century II.

Wichita Farm and Art Market.
Starts this weekend, May 4th and runs every weekend until October 12.  From 7am - noon.

Visit other zoo moms and their babies at the Sedgwick County Zoo. Moms are free with a paying child. (8:30-5pm) New this year, stop in at the Pavillion and get all-you-can-eat pancakes and sausage by Chris Cakes from 9am-1pm. Sunday, May 12th only.

Ice Cream Social at the Historical Museum: Saturday May 11th, 1-5pm
Park activities free, refreshments $1, Adult museum admission 1/2 price, kids under 12 and members are free. 

Mom gets in free with a paid admission on Mother's Day, Sunday, May 12th at The Cosmosphere in Hutchinson. Bring Mom to see a movie in the Carey IMAX® Dome Theater and she'll get a popcorn for free.
