FREE Concert in the Park with Chart-topping Performer

Mark your calendars if you're a big fan of '80's love tunes.  One of the kings of sappy '80's/'90's long haired, whispery love ballads is Richard Marx. He will be performing live in Andover's Central Park on June 22nd
Sponsored by the Andover Convention and Visitor's Bureau and BOB-FM, the concert is free, but does require picking up advance tickets at a list of select businesses.

Andover is using this as a sort of "experiment" of sorts to gauge whether the city is ready for it's own outdoor amphiteater.  (Emphatically I claim "YES!" as an Andover resident myself.) Andover is set to continue to grow and the city is examining whether that growth will be residential or commercial.  Announcements were made this week of a new Middle School and High School to be built on the North end of the city.  (Read about it here)

Any-hoo, Richard Marx is a pretty big name to be gracing the Andover stage, he has sold more than 30 million albums in his 3 decade career as performer, songwriter and producer.  His latest look is sans long feathered hair, but I always loved his songs anyway.

Announcements for the list of places to get tickets will be on the BOB-FM website on May 24th. Hope to see you at the concert!
