Our Summer trip and new things on the horizon

Ahh, lazy days of summer.
Well I have been a terrible blogger lately. But you all have been great readers as you keep coming back and visiting me anyway.  I am working on some new ideas as I have felt for several months that the direction and focus of my webpage needs change.  A new look, a new theme and new topics.  I have so many things in my head that I want to write about, a few have made it to paper, but alas, no time to get it here.

God has been working BIG time in my life as of late and I am thankful to say that I am hugely blessed.  I feel
a visit to the circus, read about it here
I have so many stories to share that I don't know where to start. I know many others who are in the same positions that I have been and it's so hard to not want to try to "save the world" with my stories. I am prayerfully seeking where God wants me to go with this hunger he has placed in me, and just pray that someone will actually want to read it.

Here is how we finished out our summer:
I spent majority of my time just focusing on my kids and my husband.  My youngest son went to Kindergarten this year and so it seemed fitting to connect with him during these final months of being that pre-elementary stage that goes by so quick.  My youngest turned 2.  My oldest is about to turn 13 (!!), and I will have a 10 year old at the end of the month.  Wow. Time goes faster once you have children. As a wife I feel it is most important to make my husband the "most important" person in our family. Without a solid foundation, (your marriage), your family is at a huge risk of falling apart.  We took a few more date nights over the summer.

I did some buying and selling on Facebook Garage Sale sites and learned the lingo and the "rules" across several.  I put together a sort of "tutorial" for anyone wanting to dip their toes into this fast paced exciting hobby.  (Yes, it does become that.  You'll see how hooked you'll get.) Read that story HERE.

Our family also finally made it to the Tulsa Aquarium in Tulsa, Oklahoma.  We have heard many great things about it and had been meaning to make it up there all summer. It is definitely worth the drive and if you can stay overnight it makes it a lot easier as you can stay the whole afternoon and keep entertained.  We were able to find free admission with an adult admission for the kids with certificates signed by our dentist.  This made it about $30 for all 6 of us to get in!! A great deal, but tickets are pretty reasonable anyway. There is an impressive collection of oceanic life, invertebrates, salt water fish and a large area displaying native Oklahoma fish and water mammals such as beavers and otters.  The biggest thrill was the walk through underwater tunnel with the world's largest captive bull sharks. It was incredible.  The kids absolutely loved it, and there are several interactive water pools that you can hands-on some things.  But do be aware of where you can and can not touch as it's a little hard to differentiate. Oops.  Check out the website HERE and make a visit soon!  It's super fun and sort of unexpected for this region.
Birthday Princess turned 2

Well the summer went fast, as usual.  But going back through all the old photos makes me realize how my life is so truly blessed!  I hope you'll continue to hang on with me as I make transitions.  Slowly but surely, and thanks for reading!
