Whole Foods Market Wichita - Sneak Peek Weekend

It's almost time, and the employees of Whole Foods Market are hard at work getting ready for the grand opening of the new store in Wichita.

The Bulk foods section
I got an exclusive first look at the much anticipated store last Wednesday. It is a beautiful store featuring decor that pays honor to our culture and perfectly captures the spirit of Wichita in the areas of aviation, nature, and carries on the feel of Wichita's retro, classic architecture.

At approximately 30,000 square feet, this is the first Whole Foods Market in Wichita. It is located on 1423 N. Webb Rd, at the intersection of 13th and Webb, across from the upscale Waterfront shopping, office, restaurant district.

Wichita has many choices for natural, organic food in Wichita but Whole Foods Market stands out not only in how they will make an impact on your health and wellness, but also on the impact they will have on the community.  "Win-win partnerships" with local suppliers, and numerous community partnerships, including YMCA, Bike Walk Wichita, United Methodist Open Door and Wichita Children's Home.  Goals are to donate approximately $20,000 back to the community. Providing 120 jobs in a healthy and sustainable building, the Wichita store is working with "Green Globes" (www.thegbi.org) to keep up with operating standards that are good for the environment and lives up to the meticulous care that goes into the products they sell.

I think Chili's has the BEST taco chips around. I like that they are light, and crispy always and salty enough. I really like to get them every time I go to Chili's. With ranch on the side. It's a must.

Ringling Bros. Barnum & Bailey Super Circus Heroes 2014

*the following is a review in which I was compensated for my post with tickets to a performance. I do not receive payment or compensation for reader purchases or clicks. Thanks!

Ready for the show!

Ringling Bros. Barnum and Bailey brought another amazing show full of thrills and entertainment for the smallest to the biggest of kids.

Super Circus Heroes was all about finding the super human power within you, and included super circus hero acrobats, aerialists, motorcycles in a gravity defying cage, dancing elephants, horseback riding dogs, and more. There wasn't a dull moment, with lots of fun, excitement and laughter.

This year we were able to make it early for the All Access Pre-show. Starting about an hour prior to show time, participants can meet the performers, get autographs, get a close-up look at some animals, and participate in a "Hero Training Camp". An interactive experience and chance to show off your Super skills and learn a few. One of the elephants painted a picture, and they gave it away before the show.

We danced with an acrobat in a gigantic dance party, and tried on circus costumes. The pre-show was a lot of fun and a great extra with the show. I highly recommend getting there early to check this out. My kids loved being a part of the action!

Catch Ringling Bros. Super Circus Heroes in your town, or look for them again next time they are in Wichita.

Thanks to Intrust Bank arena, and SMG for the tickets to see and review the show!

Visit Ringling Bros. website for show info, ticket info, more details about the pre-show, and fun interactive games and facts, here.

Gordman's Call to Action against Bullying and New Clothing Lines

Gordman's sent me shopping to check out their new Misses Contemporary lines with both dressy and casual styles. It is elevated and trend right clothing that appeals to guests of all ages. Gordmans will now be carrying many of the same contemporary brands found in high-end department stores, such as Kensie, Jessica Simpson, and BB Dakota, all at everyday pricing of up to 60% off department store prices.

I was very excited about these new lines and am excited to come back and keep adding these lines to my wardrobe.  I have always loved Kensie and the Jessica Simpson brands, and really liked the Aztec looks from BB Dakota. Here are some photos of some of my favorite things.
All pricing was around the $17.99 and up price point. Kensie was a tad higher, but still so much less than department store prices.
