Christmas at My House

Christmas is my favorite time of year.  I love dressing up the house everywhere possible with decorations and lights. Having little ones makes this time of year more magical, and it is a time where family traditions are followed and made.  One thing we started this year, is a daily advent calendar and devotion time.  The kids loved getting their chocolate every day and hearing about how God sent Jesus to be the best gift we could ever get. Our time around the dining table learning about God and his love for us has made this season more about why we celebrate it, and brought us closer to each other, and closer to God and the spirit of the season.

Each ornament hung on the tree is a reminder of Christmases past, and the memories made with each one.  As an adult, you tend to loose the magic of Christmas, but seeing Christmas through the eyes of your children, and experiencing it all over again with them, makes Christmas magical again in an even bigger way.

Focusing on the true magic of the season and bringing it back to the real spirit of Christmas can make each year a time of happiness and memories to last you for the rest of your life.
As you continue to unwrap presents, don't forget about the best gift you have all year, the Gift of Jesus.
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year from my family to yours!!
