If you've heard of toning shoes then you've probably heard of the recent controversy surrounding them. Recently the Federal Trade Commission examined the claims of the company Reebok in court claiming the advertising of their toning products was deceptive. A settlement was reached in the Class Action Lawsuit and Reebok agreed to pay $25 million to consumers.
If you purchased any of the following Reebok toning shoes and/or apparel between the dates of December 5, 2008 and October 12, 2011, you may be eligible to receive payment from this class action settlement.
The eligible shoes are: EasyTone, RunTone, JumpTone, SlimTone, EasyTone Flip, TrainTone, and SimplyTone.
Eligible Apparel are: EasyTone Capri, EasyTone Shorts, EasyTone Sleeveless shirts, EasyTone Pants, EasyTone Long Bra Top, and EasyTone Short Sleeve Top.
The lawsuit alleges that Reebok violated certain State laws regarding marketing and sales of toning products. Reebok denies all wrongdoing and the court did not decide whether the FTC claims are legitimate or not. A settlement was the outcome.
