Free museum day

Today is Free Museum day sponsored by Smithsonian Magazine. If you want to go, you will be required to bring a Smithsonian free admission ticket. Click this link for yours. One ticket per household admits one person plus a guest. My research found that all the major museums in Wichita are participating, but you will need to download your ticket to get in on it. Great day to save at Exploration Place, Wichita Center for the Arts, Mid American Indian Center, Cowtown, Wichita Art Museum and more. (Note: Wichita Art Museum already offers free admission on Saturdays, so no card should be required but bring one just in case!)

If you're like me, and my husband, spending money is a big deal in our house. It's hard to manage where it goes when there's not much to manage. Making our dollar stretch has been a part-time job as I spend a lot of time couponing, price comparing and sale shopping. It's a free online budget and financial planning website. Connect all of your banking and financial institutions that have internet banking, to access your balances and transactions in one place. There are even apps available for iPhone and android users.
Track your spending, budget, set up targeted savings, and find the best deals for financing needs all in one place. It has been an extremely beneficial tool for our family. Helping us to understand what we are doing with our money, and clearly, and visually be able to plan for where we want it to go. I highly recommend mint.com, and hope it helps you the way it has us!
